Founder
A longtime national news journalist, Rich Johnson founded Zivoze as a continuation of his career commitment to, and fascination with, how people learn and retain diverse information important to their lives. A veteran broadcaster, Johnson has served as a radio anchor, field reporter, writer and editor for numerous U.S. media outlets and network news organizations including ABC, CNN, Fox and Westwood One. His vast experience in creative content, in-depth accuracy in research, and effective delivery of information guides the quality, evolution and growth of Zivoze. Rich is a University of Oregon alum.
PETE TUCKER
Engineering
The technology architect for the Zivoze platform, Pete Tucker, Ph.D. started his career at Microsoft in quality assurance and software development, working on Microsoft Access, Visual Basic and Internet Explorer. Dr. Tucker did his doctoral research in data management at Oregon Health and Science University, completing his Ph.D. in 2005. Since beginning his position as a professor in the Math and Computer Science Department at Whitworth University, Dr. Tucker has also consulted for Verint as well as a number of startup companies. Dr. Tucker developed the front-end and back-end components of Zivoze. His vision and elite experience as a creator and director of related projects will guide the IT team assembled to further build out the Zivoze platform.
LISA LINDELL
Creative
UI/UX, app, web, and business designer, Lisa Lindell has elevated the Zivoze product with her technical skills and creative talent. Lisa’s versatile work in social-media marketing and promotion, as well as her expertise in podcast production, give her a wide-angle lens for creating the Zivoze front-end and back-end user’s experience. Based in Seattle, Lisa is a graduate of the University of Washington.
GARY LEE
Business Development
Gary is a broadcast and digital media veteran who has closed and serviced major advertising sponsorship and content deals. Partnerships included ABC, Associated Press, CBS, Cumulus, iHeart, NBC, NPR, The Weather Channel and various governmental agencies. He has also been honored for work in the transportation field. Gary was a founding partner at Shadow Traffic, the original company that bundled traffic reporting resources and provided content to television and radio affiliates in exchange for advertising inventory. He has led expansion and acquisitions in major US and Australian markets. From 2015-2020 he was VP-Media Sales at TrafficCast International, Madison, Wisconsin. Gary is based in Chicago, with BA from Columbia College, Chicago, and Certified Digital Marketing Consultant (CDMC) through the National Association of Broadcasters.
PATRICK COUSSENS
Operations
Patrick Coussens has served 30-plus years as a professional writer/content producer and project director in diverse areas such as app creation, public relations, government affairs, journalism, entertainment and professional sports. He is currently with the podcast company Utter Clarity as its chief operations officer and is a content creator for the company’s podcast and app-building ventures. Patrick has worked as a communications and publications specialist at T-Mobile USA, as well as the public relations manager at the NBA’s Seattle Sonics. Based in Seattle, he holds a degree from the University of Oregon’s Allen School of Journalism and Communication.
TODD MYERS
Business Development
An author and policy writer at Seattle's Washington Policy Center, former computer programmer Todd Myers has created Zivoze's market strategy using his decades of experience in business, communications and technology. As a business owner, communications executive, and former State of Washington information specialist, the writer/coder of various programs including aviation software has detailed the extensive user (customer) sales potential of Zivoze in the public, private and NGO sectors. As the former head of public relations for the Seattle Sonics, Myers’s tech innovations created the NBA’s best-practice Internet marketing programs, including professional sports’ first fan e-mail newsletter system and in-game, interactive programs. Formerly the head of PR for MLB’s Seattle Mariners, Myers is a Whitman University alum and has his Master’s Degree from the University of Washington.
MACKENZIE FREEMAN
Content Consultant
The co-owner of Ideascape, Inc., MacKenzie is an experienced project manager, website/graphic designer, public relations advisor and communications consultant for corporate, government and non-profit clients. She has served organizations ranging from Providence Health & Services and Southern Company to Expo '86 World’s Fair and Portland Rose Festival. MacKenzie earned her Bachelor of Arts in European Studies from Lewis & Clark College.

Development Consultant
The co-owner of Ideascape, Inc., Doug has spent decades sharing his marketing, training and communications experience with clients ranging from NASA and the U.S. Dept. of Energy to Intel and Hewlett-Packard. He now focuses on working with technology startups. Doug has earned numerous honors for his work, including Telly Awards and a NASA Achievement Award. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Lewis & Clark College.
JUSTON BERG
Advisor
As founder, business strategist and product lead, Juston Berg brings his extensive tech experience to the Zivoze team. While serving as vice president of collaboration and product development at Blockchains, Juston orchestrated the ideation, development and deployment of blockchain-powered solutions, as well as connecting Blockchains with the greater blockchain and cryptocurrency community. Juston oversaw his team of researchers and developers working to leverage blockchain technology for the betterment of society. Prior to joining Blockchains, Juston supported Microsoft as a demand planner for the company’s Surface product line. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada.
